A lot of small pieces
Definitely make sure you have a storage bag for this one. There are a ton of small pieces. I expected the Lego blocks to be a little larger to work with our big set. However, it is a cute set on its own for the young kids to just aren’t ready for the tiny Lego kits. This is pretty difficult to get back into the original box. I would say this is great for a five-year-old. Hope this is helpful.

Fun set, pricey to me. Took my 8 year old an hour.
The media could not be loaded.
This Marble Run Big Building Blocks 253pcs set was totally fun. The marbles are two halls that need to be put together but otherwise regular marbles can work too. Normally I lend a helping hand but I let my 8 year old handle it. It took her about an hour to build and some blocks were out of place but end result works well. The blocks are closer to building blocks grade plastic as opposed to Lego grade, so more flexible and not as sturdy in some areas. The instructions are fairly clear but could be better with some of the illustrations. In the end my kids are having fun and preoccupied so I’m happy with it. It makes a great gift and is exactly the type of toy to get younger children thinking. I do find the price higher for what I think its worth but it’s a unique desigh.

build up for kids
The media could not be loaded.
Playable: it’s a very nice toy kit for kids once you build it up, but a 5 years old kid might need a little time to figure it out by themself.Quality and detail: I can’t say it’s low quality, but it’s absolutely not as good as lego. It’s kind of “kid edition” of lego. there are some big gap and “big bump” that makes you think you use the wrong piece, but its actually just like that. The base mat is pretty useful though. you can glue it onto a desk surface and make it an exclusive lego station.

Lots of fun regardless how many pieces!
Both options for this set include SO many pieces, but don’t feel like less or more pieces will mean any less fun! There’s so much you can do with this set and then tear it down and do it all over again! Perfect for developing minds, learning new things, learning consequences of actions and of course, making fun adventurous kinds of things! It reminds me of those sets I had when I was kid where you could do so much.

Good combo of building block and marble run
We have a traditional marble run, but my 4 year old gets frustrated putting it together because it can get pretty wobbly. This building brick based set lends itself to sturdier marble-run building, but is not completely frustration-free. First, it is a lot of pieces, and the base pieces are fairly thin to support what you’re building above. The “marbles” are two plastic pieces that you snap together, and as such are missing the weight of a traditional marble and sometimes get stuck along the run. We swapped those out for other marbles for a better experience.Overall, it is a good set and a nice combination of building blocks and a marble run. The dinosaurs and Ferris wheel portions were an especially big hit. My 4 year old needed a fair amount of help to put this together, but older kids can probably follow the photo instructions unassisted, especially if they have prior lego experience. The quality of the bricks is not as good as the brand-name, but you get a lot of bang for your buck with this set.

fun to build
ThreeYearOld had fun trying to make a marble run that had enough drop that the marble would go to the end. He was partially successful and thought it was great. Then he wanted to build the model that’s pictured on the front of the box. It’s too complicated for a three year old and he lost patience with trying to find the pieces that we needed. He went back to creating his own track and he was happy. There are lots of pieces to use to construct the model on the front. Not very many of them are actually used to build the marble track, though. The “marbles” are actually balls that come in two pieces and have to be put together. They are very lightweight. I think that actual marbles would have been a better choice for this.I’m giving this toy five stars based completely on how much fun the little guy had putting pieces together.

Great gift for young builders
This set of of good quality, although not as good as original Lego Duplo blocks, which are compatible in size. Interestingly, this set contains some non-standard size blocks, which in the end is not an advantage, because they contribute to a lack of sturdiness once the kit is assembled. The Ferris Wheel seems like a nice touch, but it actually gets in the way blocking the visibility of the marbles as they travel. Within ten minutes the kids decided to remove the Ferris Wheel and replace it with one of the dinosaurs. That was also about the time some sections of the set started falling apart. The excessive use of ‘thin’ blocks as support causes the larger pieces to move, which requires constant maintenance. I solved some of the issues by replacing the worst offenders with larger regular Lego Duplo blocks from our collection, which I strongly recommend anyone does.Even with all that in mind, I would order it again. The kids love it.

Works Great, Mixes with Other Brick Marble Runs
Really like this marble run because it fits with the big size bricks of our toddler. At first set it up the way it is in the ad photo – and there are detailed directions to do so. But I made many changes – and it was really simple to do – by combining with another set of marble run made to the same large-brick size.As I pointed out with another marble run at one time – when you build these you hafta get them right in terms of making sure a moving ball will always have enough inertia to continue on if on a flat bit of track/pipe. I think of a plumber making sure there’s a certain amount of “drop” for a given distance of pipe. LOL.It’s fun for the toddler I’m building these for, and he loves dropping in the balls, one by one, and watching them come out. I like these mixable, combinable marble run sets that work with big bricks, and I definitely RECOMMEND this!

Perfect learning toy
I love STEM toys when I’m gifting for children. This will go to the top of the list for this type of toy. Lots of colorful and stimulating pieces, and I know the imaginations will be busy. Great toy. Well-made and a perfect gift.

Age Appropriate STEM Project for the littles.
My wife teaches a STEM class every couple of weeks and she stated that her students really enjoy marble runs. I picked this up to see if this might be something that the younger students might enjoy putting together. This marble run is a self assembly project that could be hours of fun. It contains almost 200 pieces snap together pieces including a fence, slide, flagpole and a dinosaur. You can build a car and a house as well as a fun little marble run.My wife as indicated that the older students assembled this very quickly and really found it to be more of a novelty whereas the younger students played with the little marble run for almost half of the class period. The younger students were then challenged with disassembling it and build it again, but using a different design. It appears that this STEM project builder kept them both interested and entertained throughout class.I have chosen to rate this product 5 stars. Overall this is a nice little fun project with several pieces. The project is definitely geared more toward the younger students (approx. 4yo – 8yo). It’s a great way for them to learn how things can go together while still be creating in the design. I would completely recommend this product to anybody seeking a STEM project that is age appropriate for the younger students.Criteria for Stars:1 – Total rip off, doesn’t perform basic advertised functions or not product advertised. I would likely RETURN and would NEVER recommend.2 – Not worth the money. Performs some of the basic advertised functions, but likely not all, and ultimately was deemed as not providing enough value for the money spent. I would not buy again, and would likely not recommend unless the buyer had a very specific use case.3 – It performs the basic functions as advertised, and has some usefulness at the price point, but doesn’t work for all of the reasons I purchased. I would likely not buy again, and would only recommend if buyer understood usefulness limitations.4 – It performs most all of the features I purchased it for, but has limitations. I would likely buy again and would recommend.5 – Completely as advertised and likely exceeded expectations. Is if high quality and well shipped. I would totally buy again and recommend.

So Much to Do!
This is great as far as keeping a 3 year old interested and engaged. He loves to drop the balls and watch them fall. That’s only interesting for a while, but then he has so many other ways to play with this set. His “rawr” is super cute, he adds his other dinosaurs and they interact with each other, the house, the car, etc. Add in the ability to build with the blocks, and this set has a lot going for it. There are so many bits in this set, it almost looks like they combined things from lots of other sets (like the flowers). The only con is the plastic is a little cheap, not terribly unsturdy but comparable to what you might get at one of the stores where everything is a dollar. The colors are bright and very pleasing to the eye. did have to buy a small tub to store the pieces, would have been nice to have had one included.

Fun set
My kids were obsessed with this building block set from the second I unboxed it. The colors are vibrant and it includes a ton of pieces. I didn’t realize how many time pieces were in here or that some of the pieces wouldn’t click together nicely.

Its a bit of work and not exactly rock solid… but a great time even so.
Our son has become enamored with marble run anything. We had previously gotten another set that ended up being beyond cheap and a mess to deal with. So when I saw a building block version I got excited because I felt it would be much more solid and could be changed easily to be different tracks.I was wrong about both of those. The way the instructions have you build the play set there are a surprising number of parts that are basically hanging in the air. And the two bottom plates are VERY thin and provide only the barest of support to the whole system. If you want to pick it up and move it… do so carefully. Equally, trying to design your own track would not be easy since the actual track pieces are very specific in their length and quantity and you would likely find yourself with a half complete track by the end.BUT! The whole thing is a great looking set and the extra bits add a lot. The Ferris wheel is cool and the dino’s are super cute. The included balls work great with the track and you don’t get a lot of loose balls flying everywhere. And it sounds great running everything through. Most important my kiddo loves it.So… given the price I would say this is a great entry point for someone to get their kid a marble run. But if they really take to it… you will likely be looking for something higher quality and more expensive in the near term.

Fun Kit
This is a very fun little set and gives the satisfaction of having a roof for the house. Most of these sets leave the top off and it always feels a little unsatisfying. The marble portion is also a nice touch and they can pretend to make a slide with it or roll marbles down. All in all it has enough pieces to be a good standalone toy, or you can buy another and they can build a lot more with it.

Very cool unique set that is a change from regular legos
This set allows kids to build and design what they want so its really for many ages. If they want to design a marble run then everything needed is included. If they want to just use their imagination that is fine too. I like watching my kids use their imagination and design skills on this set. It comes nicely package so this would also make a great gift for any kids that like to build and play with blocks. It plays like lego but also has the rube goldberg aspect. This is a good quality toy which should last a good while.

This looks to be a nice quality for a knock off of a popular building block company. I am sure my grandsons will have hours of entertainment with this and building different configurations with the blocks to run the marbles through it.

Fun while learning (shhh, don’t tell the kids)
This marble run uses the large building blocks (like Lego Duplo) so works nicely for little ones to build and create, good for those 3 to maybe 6yrs. It’s a great learning toy, and so much fun to construct and then watch it work. The “marbles” are actually pieced together plastic, rather than real marbles-I don’t love them. (I replaced them with real ones.) I like the dinosaur. He can stand up on his own, or his feet fit on the blocks to position him anywhere in your structure. The set includes lots of fun shapes like flowers and slides.

Great overall toy and build – However, does not come with a step by step manual so may need to help
This Marble Run toy set is a mixed bag. It boasts 253 colorful pieces, from intricate tracks to whimsical elements like dinosaurs and plants. There are even components for a mini Ferris wheel and blue walls to build a small blue structure. The set comes with two green boards that act as a stable base, which helps in constructing more complex structures. The product packaging also features a picture that can serve as a building guide. However, the absence of a step-by-step manual leaves a lot to be desired, especially for young kids who may not know where to start. Parents may find themselves heavily involved, guiding their children through the building process. While the variety of pieces gives room for creativity, the lack of explicit educational direction somewhat undermines its claim as a STEM toy. It has the potential to be a fantastic Christmas gift, but be prepared to spend some hands-on time with your kids to fully enjoy it.

Marble runs are not only fun but help with a child’s imagination and problem solving
I have always loved marble runs and now I share that love with my grandchildren. I love this 283 piece set as there are a lot of them. The set works with a name brand blocks and is easy enough for my 3 year old to put the blocks together and take them off. There many that are different, it really is a well designed set. My grandkids love the ferris wheel, I admit none of the sets I have bought had a similar piece. You don’t always have to build a marble run, there are enough blocks for children to use their creative skills.to build other items. This is a very giftable toy as it came in a nice box, giving the toy the receiver a taste of the quality inside.Highly recommend

A very fun toy for little ones!
I didn’t realize this is small building blocks (even though it says it) I was focused on the marble race part and thought my 4 year old grandson would love this. Its very sturdy and has a lot of blocks, it’s a rather large playset. The pieces are plastic and they all snap together easily, and stay together. You can build different things from the blocks, but the actual marble racecourse seems to be his favorite. This a a great set and would be a perfect gift for any kid preschool through early elementary age I think

Fun but complicated
My boys love building blocks and marbles, so naturally they were super excited when they saw this. It comes with all the pieces necessary to build it as pictured, but let me tell you this was difficult to put together. The instructions are not simple to follow. The pictures it shows can be very confusing, and unless you have a little baby genius aspiring to be an architect, I cant see a child putting this together without help. The pieces are also very cheap plastic that will easily break or crack. The final product once built is fun and entertaining, but sadly it wont last because it is not very sturdy. It will constantly fall apart with normal play. I would recommend this only for children that can be careful and gentle when they play.

Light to Medium Duty Set
My soon to be 3 year old son does like this new set, but it is nowhere near the quality of the other marble run and building block type toys that we already have. Luckily we already have a bunch of other marbles, as these “marbles” have to be assembled. I had to glue the marble halves together to make sure they stayed together for him. Don’t get me wrong, my son likes it a lot, but I don’t think this will a be a set that will be passed down to the next kiddo or generation.

Cute!
I ordered this for my 8-year-old granddaughter as she likes marble runs and we have a few different ones with this one being on the lower skill level. She found it easy to assemble and didn’t like the marbles that came with it which are plastic and have to be put together. I wasn’t sure why these marbles had to be assembled. She used both glass and steel marbles we keep on hand in a jar. This is cute, colorful, and easy to assemble into a few different variations. I would put this more in the age group of ages 4 to 7.

Imagination In Action
My photos show a U.S. Dollar Bill for sizing comparison, along with one page opened to give you an idea what the “picture worth a thousand words” assembly instructions look like.Younger children will absolutely need help in putting things together, but I think the targeted age range of 3-8 to enjoy this toy is accurate (albeit I’m many years beyond that and I’ll have fun putting it together with my grandkids and watching it perform)!I like that it mixes with popular name brand bricks, although I was a bit disappointed that the “marbles” are snap-together plastic shaped balls instead of the real glass items I remember from childhood.Overall, a very nice gift that kids of all ages should enjoy as the fun starts rolling!I hope you’ve noted my comments and photos as helpful in your consideration of this item. Thanks for checking!

Great for little kids getting into building
I got this to give as a gift, so I can’t attest to how easy or difficult this is to build, but I can at least talk about the quality and instruction booklet. The booklet looks very easy to understand even for a young child, might need an adult to assist but should be easy enough for a 5-8 year old. The idea of the marble run I think is super fun for kids to learn about how things work. I do think though this should be for kids 5+ rather than 3+. My son at 3-4 was still trying to put things in his mouth so I could see this being a potential choking hazard for the younger kids especially if unsupervised. But I think this set is made very well and a great gift for little kids.

kinda like Legos
This 187 piece building blocks set does come with instructions – a diagram on how to construct the playhouse as pictured – and it has the dinosaur! A kid age 8 and up with some experience will have fun constructing this set or a younger child with parents’ help. Affordable hours of play…

Great – Fit with Other Brands
It’s fantastic – works well with another marble set we have. They can build lots of different tracks where the marbles go fast or slow. It’s super easy to put together and to make new tracks. My kid learned a lot while playing with it, like how to use their hands and eyes together and how to solve problems. The blocks are well made, feel strong and safe.

Great product for kiddos
Got this because my daughter has found a sudden interest in dinosaurs. She was over the moon when i brought it in from the mail! The pieces were easy for me to assemble and she loved playing with the dinosaurs and the ball mechanics. She’s still young so she definitely needed my help assembling but the pieces felt sturdy and it felt easy to understand and assemble. I love that it has so many moving parts to interact with!

Lots of fun
My daughter loves playing with this marble run playset. It was incredibly easy to assemble while still providing her with some age appropriate challenges and watching the marble run through the course has been very engaging and entertaining for her. She likes the vibrant colors and the dinosaurs.
